She ran as fast as her legs would take her, pushing herself. Her chest heaving, her heartbeat steadily quicking. She picked up her pace. Checking her watch constantly hoping she woldn't be late. She had to get there on time. Sakura closed her eyes in frustration.

'How could I be so late?!'

--Flashback--

"Master Tsunade you to have finish this paperwork!" yelled Sakura.

"Ooooh shut up and celebrate with me why do you think I gave Shizune the day off." Tsunade said lying on top of her desk with a bottle of sack in her hand; Of course she was dead drunk.

"Alright get up you old drunk." Sakura said as she dragged Tsunade home. Holding her breath as Tsunade reeked of the strong liquor Sakura dumped her into her bed, tucked her in, and headed back towards her office. She groaned in frustration as she stared at the mountain of paperwork on top of Tsunade's desk.

'Argh! That lazy old woman. I swear it's like I'm the Hokage around here.'  Sakura thought wrinkling her forehead as she picked up a large file filled with ANBU records.

As hours passed she could feel her body wearing down but she had to finish or Tsunade would have just put o ff the work again. By the time she finished it was 2 A.M. With red eyes and a sore back from leaning over the desk Sakura went home. Exhausted she pushed open her apartment door. She thought about taking a shower but she knew she would never make it to her bathroom and even if she did she would have probably fallen asleep in the shower. Risking her sheets of smelling like old gym socks and liquor, Sakura climbed into bed sinking into a comforting, dreamless sleep.

--End of Flashback--

'Oh yeah now I remember.' Sakura thought frowning and getting lost in her thoughts.

She came back into reality rather painfully when she hit a tree branch. Falling through several others she managed to land in a soft but rough bush.

"Ow."  Was all she muttered out as she got back on her feet. She dusted dirt off her pants and pulled twigs out of her hair.  She checked herself for bruises before climbing back up into the trees and hopping from one branch to the next.

"Gahh this just put me more behind!" She said out loud, picking up her speed.  She's never been late. For anything. Just when panic began to ensue she spotted her destination, the old bridge where she and her team had been meeting at for all these years. As she closed in she could hear loud snoring.

"Baka." She sighed out knowing full well it was Naruto. She landed right in front of him with a loud thump but still he remained asleep. She looked up to see Sasuke standing not to far away from them. From the look on his face he was obviously annoyed. Frowning she looked back towards Naruto. She snapped her fingers in front of his face but still sitting crossed-legged Naruto remained asleep.

"I swear this idiot can sleep through anything." Sakura said shaking her head before smiling.

'Ah Naruto you haven't changed a bit.' She thought memories passing through her mind.

"Loud, good-for-nothing…." mumbled a frustrated Sasuke. " I swear can you snore any louder?" He said aloud though he quickly regretted even speaking the words as Naruto began to snore louder.

"Oh for the love of --WOULD YOU WAKE UP YOU LAZYASS!" Sasuke yelled as he punched Naruto in the face knocking him backwards.

"OW! What'd you do that for Teme?!" Naruto shouted a bruise forming on his cheek.

"You could wake up the whole village with your damn snoring!"Sasuke yelled out angrily.

"You trying to pick a fight?!"  Naruto said clenching his fist.

"What if I am?!"  Sasuke said glaring at him.  Snapped out of her thoughts Sakura watched as Naruto created a Rasengan and Sasuke pulled out his Chidori. They both began to charge toward each other and without a second thought Sakura ran in between the both of them as the blows struck.
